Join us for a workshop where the artistry of light meets the delicacy of paper. Our talented instructor, Rico, will introduce you to her unique technique called HIKARIE, blending the Japanese words "HIKARI" (light) and "E" (picture). This three-hour workshop will guide you through the magical process of creating designs that are only revealed when exposed to light. By the end of the workshop, you'll have crafted a beautiful, light-revealing Spring card for Easter, Mother's Day or just because. This image can be scanned and uploaded into a digital format to share online, or have prints made!


Rico was born in Japan in 1980. She attended Musashino Art University in Tokyo obtaining a BA in Visual Communication Design in 2006. Later she attended Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam and received a BA in Fine Arts. She moved to Canada in 2012.
