An email will be sent a few weeks prior to the class with a material list as well as more specific directions for the location.
Join us for a full day of painting outdoors led by Fernie artist and prolific plein air painter, Melanie MacVoy. Learn how to efficiently set up your materials, choose a composition, map it out and record valuable information about local colour and natural lighting to inspire future paintings. This workshop includes demonstrations, exercises and one on one guidance. Painting outdoors is a valuable tool for learning how to see the landscape through direct observation and quick decision making. Intermediate painters welcome, bring your watercolours, acrylics or oil paints.
