Call For Artists

Info for artists:

• Open to any Artist living in the Columbia-Kootenay-Elk Valley region

• All mediums accepted. New, unshown work will be prioritized. Work that has been shown at Cranbrook Arts (Gallery or shop) in the past 2 years will not be eligible.

• Work DOES NOT need to be holiday/winter themed

• Work must be your own (no re-selling of other artists work)

• Number of works accepted will depend on space. Plan on a maximum of 6 pieces

• Work must be fully finished, framed, hangable OR work can be displayed in a Crystal clear display bag with cardboard backing (as our prints and cards are displayed)

• Work must be wired for hanging OR have D-hooks. Sawtooth Hooks do NOT work well with our hanging system.

• Non wall-work (sculpture, fiber, jewelry etc.) must be finished for display on plinths or shelves. Please contact to discuss display options.

• Work must be in good condition - free from scratches, marks, dents or flaws.

• Work will be lightly adjudicated against the above criteria.

• Free exhibition for CDAC members - non members can purchase a membership at www.cranbrookarts.com or submit a $20.00 exhibition fee.

• Commission rate is 30% to CDAC (20% for volunteers)

• Artists are responsible for pricing their own artwork.

• Cranbrook Arts will create official marketing/promotions for the exhibition and provide these to the participating artists to share

• Cranbrook Arts will provide via email: confirmation of participation, promotional materials, a label spreadsheet, exhibition contract, drop off information and additional details on or after the submission closing date of NOVEMBER 8th.
